The Thundering Heard Pep Band, Cheer and Dance teams and Thunder did several numbers, and afterward Mueller thanked them for the positive way they represent the University.

Photos by Ralph Freso GCU News Bureau The Diversity and Inclusion Department kicked off the academic year in a big way with its Welcome Week event, Project L (for Project Lope), an icebreaker that attracted hundreds of students. They enjoyed a barbecue, games, live music by student performers and vendors. The event also gave students the chance to connect with the department and the campus’ various multicultural and diversity clubs. “It’s kind of to unite the entire student body,” said Ajienne Lambey, Assistant Director of the department’s Multicultural Office. “It’s not centered around one culture but basically to make students aware of our office and new department.”
