Photos By David Kadlubowski  The Canyon Choral Society performed its final concert of the 2017-18 academic year at First Southern Baptist Church on Wednesday. The concert featured Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna,” or “Eternal Light,” and Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Deo.” The students’ next destination is Carnegie Hall, where they will perform at 1 p.m. April 23.

Photos by David Kadlubowski GCU News Bureau Ethington Dance Ensemble wrapped up its 2017-18 season with “The Tipping Point,” its spring concert. About 40 dancers brought to life 13 choregraphed works at Ethington Theatre. Stage manager Claire Schmaltz said of the concert, “It’s a very full-spectrum show this semester,” with dances ranging from jazz to tap and ballet. The Dance department’s artistic director is Susannah Keita.

The play follows characters on an ocean liner from New York to London who find themselves in madcap situations, and a little romance, too.

Photos by David Kadlubowski GCU News Bureau More than 2,200 registered runners and walkers gathered on the Grand Canyon University campus for the 2018 Run to Fight Children’s Cancer. The event, the largest race in Arizona dedicated solely to pediatric cancer, featured a 5K and 10K, as well as the backbone of the event, the Cancer Survivors Walk. Run to Fight benefits the Children’s Cancer Network and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
