Burger-and-fries fare? Pizza and tacos? It’s a recipe for culinary heaven for most college students. But sometimes even college students look to healthier options, particularly now, when everyone is trying to stick to their New Year’s resolutions. While the campus does serve up burgers and fries aplenty, there are a lot of ways to eat healthy, from visiting the Lopes Training Table to stopping by the Herd Stop salad bar.

Virtual celebration homes in on fun for everyone
The pandemic wasn’t going to keep the GCU community from celebrating alumni, students and their families. That determined spirit was the catalyst for this year’s virtual Homecoming and Family Week. For the first time, the two events have been combined to bring together everyone in the GCU community for a week filled with tours, livestreams, watch parties and access to GCU archives.

Construction projects cooking, including Taco Bell
Campus construction projects are barreling forward this summer, from the addition of 1,000 field-level seats at GCU Ballpark that will put spectators right in the action, to a new Lope Shop, two new residence halls, a soon-to-be-completed parking garage, a new Colangelo College of Business building, a new Canyon Activities Center, and perhaps the most exciting addition for students — a long-anticipated Taco Bell. The projects are on track, many of them expected to be completed by the time students arrive for the fall semester.
