Lena Denman

When doctoral learner Lena Denman found out about the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late February, she knew she had to do everything she could to help. As President of the Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2016 to assist in sending medical supplies to Ukraine, Denman has numerous friends and connections there. “While I intellectually anticipated it, emotionally it was still very difficult,” she said. But the doctoral program already has provided her with the skills to make things happen.
