Passion for diversity, inclusion unmasked at ball

The Multicultural Office kicked off the spring semester Thursday night at Antelope Gymnasium with Project L, a masquerade-themed formal that included free masks, a photo booth and plenty of dancing. For two students, it was a second chance at prom, since their high school prom was canceled because of COVID-19. But for the Multicultural Office, the twice-a-year Project L — an icebreaker scheduled at the beginning of each semester — was a chance to introduce students to the core of what it does, which is to make sure students feel included. Said Zach Broussely, Diversity and Inclusion Department Administrative Assistant, “It’s just a way to try to get students out and build community and meet new people.”
