The Renewal on 27th Ave. celebrated the efforts of the 27Collab neighborhood coalition to improve safety in the neighborhood. The event on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, on the lawn of Grand Canyon University's Building 71, featured addresses by GCU and community leaders, a performance by Alhambra Traditional School, an appearance by GCU Dance and the Thundering Heard Pep Band, and tours for VIPS of the GCU police substation.
