A first-day-of-school tradition at GCU is the Ignite worship service, when the Spiritual Life department sets the spiritual tone for the year. Ignite, on Tuesday at Global Credit Union Arena, featured music from the Worship team, a talk by University Pastor Dr. Tim Griffin, the lighting ceremony to remind students to be "the light of the world," and a fair that featured departments such as Local Outreach and Global Outreach.
