Time for sports summer camps

School’s out for the summer, or almost is, which at GCU means it’s time for summer athletic camps. If you’re looking to get your young athlete or potential athlete out of the house, away from the TV and onto a field or court, check out the university’s sports camps website. Here are just a few of the camps helmed by athletic teams:

  • Women’s volleyball: All-skills, May 12 and May 19; Prospect, June 6, June 11, July 7; High school, July 8-10; Lil Lopes, July 11; Positional, July 12-13; Junior high, July 14-16; Team, July 17-19
  • Women’s soccer: Heart of a Lope ID, May 17
  • Men’s soccer: College ID, May 17-18; Full Day, Elite Day and Young Stars, June 9-12 and July 14-17; Day, Elite Day and Young Stars camps in Scottsdale, June 16-20; Evening, July 21-24; Summer ID, July 26-27
  • Beach volleyball: May 17
  • Softball: Hitting clinic, May 20; Youth, June 3-4
  • Women’s basketball: Coaches clinic, June 1; High school team, June 2-3
  • Men’s basketball: Day camp, June 2-5 and June 16-19
  • Summer Day Camp: June 2-6
  • Tennis: Summer camp, June 2-6; Heart of a Lope, June 9-13
  • Baseball: Summer prospect, June 11-12;
  • Lacrosse: June 29-July 1
