Team cyber-secures spot at competition

GCU cybersecurity students placed fourth among 21 colleges and universities from Arizona, California and Nevada in their first Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition invitational of the 2018 season, the Western Regional. The event focused on the operational task of assuming administrative and protective duties for an fictional network. Teams were scored on their ability to detect and respond to outside threats, maintain existing services, respond to business requests and balance security needs against business needs.
