Slideshow: Best Christmas Decorations From GCU's Tempe Site

After many lunch hours and several trips to the dollar store, Erin Polazzi, Gretchen Alvarenga, Michelle Sandoval and Ruth Thomason put the finishing touches on their gingerbread house.

"It was a gingerbread house on a budget," Polazzi said. "We wanted to do something original but creative without spending a bunch of money."

Complete with a snow-covered cardboard roof, candy cane hearts and gum drops that spell out "Lopes Up!" their collection of four cubicles in the doctoral studies area is one of many on GCU's Tempe campus that captures the Christmas spirit.

In this photo slideshow, you'll find everything from Santa's workshop, a toy train that travels across four cubicles, a Starbucks Christmas tree and even the Naughty and Nice List (we noticed a pretty even split of its membership!):

Bible Verse

Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside and said to them, "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn Him to death and will turn Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day He will be raised to life!" (Matthew 20:17-19)
