  • Second consecutive Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup for NCAA Division II all-sports excellence
  • Honorable mention: appointment of Dr. Jason Hiles as dean of College of Theology; New Life Singers’ CD recording; Run to Fight Children’s Cancer in Phoenix (March) and San Diego (October); first fall commencement in school history; opening of 27th Avenue Office Center; author Lee Strobel speaks on campus; fast 11-2 start in Division I by women’s basketball team; lifesaving efforts performed on student Logan Romero by public safety officers Martin Alvarez and Pedro Jorge; instrumental music program grows to five bands.
