The atmosphere at GCU Arena was white-hot on Saturday as Grand Canyon University defeated conference rival New Mexico State at home for the second straight year, 83-71. The men's basketball game drew a white-out crowd of 7,479 fans, the second-largest ever at GCU Arena. Among those in attendance were Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Taijuan Walker and Western Athletic Conference Commissioner Jeff Hurd.
