The Grand Canyon University men's soccer team defeated Evansville 1-0 before a crowd of 3,506 Thursday night at GCU Stadium after the women's team played to a 1-1 tie with UC Santa Barbara. The Havocs, GCU's nationally renowned student cheer section, were out in force and were so loud, GCU goalkeeper Jeremy Pollard said, "I would hate to be an away team playing here."
