Slideshow: GCU Run to Fight Children's Cancer

Photos by Tim Winzeler

An estimated 2,000 runners and walkers participated in Saturday’s spring edition of the Run to Fight Children’s Cancer on the GCU campus, raising funds for Children’s Cancer Network. “The race was fantastic, handled gracefully and with expertise,” one participant wrote on Facebook. “I look forward to the next one!"

Six-year-old Grace Kostyk, who has battled leukemia, served as the honorary race starter, and mascots from Phoenix sports teams were on hand for a full morning of festivities.

Bible Verse

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit — just as it has taught you, remain in Him. (1 John 2:27)
