Shirer's appearance at Arena promises to be special

GCU News Bureau

Clearly, Priscilla Shirer has a lot to say, and she says it clearly.

Priscilla Shirer

One look at her body of work reveals a long list of books, public-speaking appearances and other Christian resources. It’s no wonder her appearance Saturday at Grand Canyon University Arena is sold out.

The Going Beyond Ministries leader’s books include two New York Times best sellers: “The Resolution for Women and “Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer,” named the 2016 Christian Book of the Year.

These videos demonstrate her passion for Christ:

She has created 10 video-driven studies on a myriad of Biblical characters and topics, including Jonah, Gideon, the Exodus, discerning God’s voice and, most recently, “The Armor of God.”

She even has gotten into acting, starring in “War Room” and playing a supporting role in “I Can Only Imagine,” which had a star-studded cast.

Shirer has been married for 19 years. She and her husband, Jerry, a former Hilton executive, have three sons – Jackson, Jerry Jr. and Jude. She is the daughter of evangelist Tony Evans.

The morning session of Saturday’s event is scheduled for 9 to 11:30 a.m. After a lunch break, the second session runs from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m., and the final session is from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.

Shirer’s appearance, targeted specifically at women, will feature prayer and analysis of God’s Word and is designed to help those women gain the direction needed to step toward God’s plan.

Her brother Anthony Evans, a professional musician, also will perform.
