Photos of 'Stand Up, Speak Up, Save a Life'

It was Stand up, Speak Up, Save a Life at GCU Arena Tuesday morning, a community-wide conference with the goal to save lives of today’s youth. With 1,200 people participating, the conference brought students, police chiefs, government officials, faith leaders, parents and teachers together and provided the tools to take back to their schools and create action planning teams and goals to help make their schools safe havens. Speaking at the adult breakout session held on the Quad, R. Bradley Snyder, Executive Director of the Dion Initiative for Child Well-Being and Bullying Prevention, said "Teachers need to know to listen to and respond to crisis. They need to seek out evidence-based suicide and bullying prevention and listen when young people come in with their ideas. They want to adjust time during the day not just for test preparation but also to meet the emotional needs of students."

Bible Verse

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. (Hebrews 11:13)
