Grand Canyon University faculty members got a fresh look Friday at the Christian worldview of the creation of the world when they gathered for the first One Foundation Lunch and Learn of the 2017-18 academic year.
Dr. Dan Diffey, Assistant Dean of Grand Canyon Theological Seminary, told the near capacity audience of 80 that Genesis and Revelation bookend the entire Biblical storyline and established that God is the sovereign creator, God’s creation is good and orderly, and men and women were created in the image of God.
Our understanding of God should lead us to worship and praise Him as well as love our neighbor, Diffey said.
The next Lunch and Learn is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Faculty are advised to watch GCU Today for signup information.
To continue the discussion, there will be six One Foundation community groups – three on the main campus and three at the 27th Avenue office complex – led by Todd Forrest of the College of Theology. Those groups, with the first of their monthly meetings, are:
