Money Week at Grand Canyon University is diversifying its assets.
The third annual event will feature the usual experts offering advice – in conveniently tight, 20-minute sessions – on all aspects of handing finances, from budgeting to credit to retirement.
But in a new twist this year, it also will bring representatives from 36 companies to campus Wednesday, giving students a chance to explore the job market.
“We are not only promoting financial literacy through the nine mini-seminar topics,” said Dr. Randy Gibb, Dean of the Colangelo College of Business. “We’re also promoting awareness of careers in finance and insurance.”
The seminars will be at various times Monday through Thursday and are open to anyone on campus.
Money Week will conclude at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with a presentation by Jerry Colangelo, Fox 10 sports anchor Jude LaCava and guest panelists on the second floor of the Student Union.
