Lopes defeat Jackson State, advance to CIT quarterfinals

The GCU men's basketball team hadn't used a full-court press all season, but it had to do something to counteract Jackson State's slowdown offense. So the Lopes stepped up the pressure, unnerved the visitors and rolled to a 64-54 victory Thursday night at GCU Arena in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. They'll play in the quarterfinals next week against an opponent to be determined.
