Kids have their Lopes Up in South Florida

Children at a South Florida elementary school show their GCU spirit.

Sam Glyn Nava, a university development counselor in Miami, had done a Career Day presentation the last two years at her daughter's school, which has several teachers enrolled in Grand Canyon University graduate programs. Thus, the students are familiar with GCU and "Lopes Up."

This year, with schools being closed, a Virtual Career Day was held and she again was invited to present. The kids were all very excited to hold their Lopes Up the Zoom presentation, and she says she has been contacted since then by parents from the class who have been considering going back to school, were watching the presentation and are now a little more familiar with GCU.
