GCU wins first Division I postseason tournament game

The GCU men's basketball game made eight 3-pointers in the first half to grab a 12-point halftime lead, then hung on for a 78-74 victory over South Carolina State Monday night in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com tournament. The Lopes play Jackson State at 7 p.m. Thursday at GCU Arena.
