GCU supports NAMI walk

Students and faculty in Grand Canyon University's College of Nursing and Health Care Professions and counseling program participated in Saturday's walk to support the National Association on Mental Illness (NAMI) in downtown Phoenix. The student nurses were doing community volunteer work for their psychiatric nursing course, while the counseling students wanted to show their support of NAMI's work, which includes raising money to increase awareness, research and treatment of mental illness. The 10th annual NAMI walk was held on the grounds of the Arizona State Capitol.
