Dr. Jennifer Johnson (left), Executive Director of K-12 Educational Development, recently attended the National Forum to Advance Rural Education in Louisville, Kentucky. Tracey Beal (right), Executive Director for School Connect, accompanied her.
They shared the collaboration between GCU and School Connect to support K-12 public schools in Arizona. The title of the presentation was "Connecting Schools, Communities and Higher Education to Elevate Engagement and Achievement." GCU highlighted the support it provides to schools and the commitment it has to community service and engagement.
The pair was selected to present from a record number of proposals received by the National Rural Education Association. About 300 K-12 educators and higher-education researchers represented 44 states at the conference.
