Dr. Marette Hahn presented a talk at the recent National Collegiate Honors Council Annual Conference in Kansas City. The Honors College director was just one of the college's staff and students to represent Grand Canyon University at the event.
Hahn’s talk was called “Offering a Co-Curricular Professional Development Program to Help Level the Career Playing Field.” She shared best practices for the Honors College’s PAC Professional Development Program and tied it to literature related to first-generation college student career development, which aligned with the event's theme, "Harmonizing Heritage."
The college’s Katalina Inzunza Herrera also attended the conference, along with three students: Keerthana Krishnakumar Juttu, Isabel Joy Abbott and Lauren Buhmann. Krishnakumar Juttu earned two scholarships to attend the conference as the sole recipient of The John J. Hanigan Scholarship and as one of four recipients of the Freddye T. Davy Scholarship. Abbott also earned the Freddye T. Davy Scholarship to attend the conference. Krishnakumar Juttu and Abbott were recognized at the closing ceremony.
