Alexia Hopkins of Buckeye, Ariz., a home-schooled student who recently graduated and will major in Worship Arts this fall, didn’t just load up in the car with her family to pick up her grandparents at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Alexia entertained neighbors recently with a performance on the lawn as everyone sheltered at home.

Her mom, Heidi Hopkins, asked her to wear something special to let them know where she would be attending college.

“We made Alexia wear her cap and gown to the airport when we picked up my parents and made signs. Fox 10 News was there and interviewed us,” said her mom. “And she hasn’t even started there yet – Class of 2024!!!!”

Alexia also led a worship session recently outside of her house to inspire the neighbors as everyone sheltered at home.

She has sung the national anthem at various sporting events, including at Cactus League spring training baseball games and at at a Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets basketball game. She also has performed at various church events.

Here’s a video of her playing guitar, one of her singing the national anthem at a San Diego Padres vs. Milwaukee Brewers spring training game two months ago, and one of her singing “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman.”

Bible Verse

All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. (Hebrews 11:13)
