Students often choose to spend their college years at GCU because of its Christian worldview.
But students who came to the university with little or no faith share their stories about how they found their faith during their time here, from one student who grew up agnostic but accepted Jesus after his campus co-workers prayed over him during a pool party to another student from France who said, “It definitely was not the plan for me to become Christian.” But she did.
The subject is the cover story of the February issue of GCU Magazine, being distributed today in the purple bins on campus. You also can read the digital version on the GCU News website, where you’ll find archived copies of the magazine dating back to 2012.
Other stories spotlight the abundance of students in their early 20s who have started their own businesses and have made it on such lists as the Phoenix Business Journal’s AZ Inno Under 25 list; GCU CityServe hitting a milestone of serving families more than 100,000 times; and how the university pours into student-athletes’ development off the field.
Also look for a story on what faculty are reading, how more than a dozen paraprofessionals in one Denver-area school are all pursuing their teaching degrees at GCU, and how alumna Anna Shaw is traveling the country in pursuit of her dream to make Christian films.
