The College of Humanities and Social Sciences on Monday created a Day of the Dead altar decorated with flowers, colorful streamers, photos of departed loved ones, crosses, crucifixes, even plates of cookies. Nov. 2 is a day when some believe the souls of the departed return to earth and provide counsel and advice to loved ones. (Photos by GCU News Bureau and Kathy Britton, GCU counseling program manager)
