Dr. Mark Wireman, assistant professor in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology, said this of his team's recent experience volunteering for a Habitat for Humanity project:
“The response from the CSET staff and faculty was tremendous and I did not even have to twist any arms to get them to volunteer. The response was so great that we were able to accomplish two projects on the same day. The teams worked hard at the projects which resulted in completing the jobs one to two hours early.
"This is the third year that CSET has volunteered through Habitat for Humanity and each year the number of volunteers grows. I wouldn’t be surprised if we are working on three projects on the same day next year. If someone has never volunteered for a GCU/Habitat project, I would strongly recommend it as the work you do is minimal when compared to the gratefulness of the home owner and the experiences you gain with your GCU team.”
