Christmas Cardio HIIT workout

By Kayla Hartson

The holidays are a little more than a week away, and it is easy to push your fitness routine to the side until the new year.

Hold yourself accountable to your health and fitness goals and finish this year out strong! Grab your family and friends and have them join you for this Christmas Cardio HIIT workout.

This workout is perfect to fit in right when you wake up, before a holiday meal, or before you go to bed. HIIT is a fantastic way to get a quick workout in, get your heart rate up and raise your metabolism for the rest of the day.

Don’t forget to include a quick warmup to get your heart rate up and muscles warm. After you complete the workout, take a couple minutes to cool down and do some static stretches. Click here to read a previous article about how to stretch during a warm up and cool down.

Reaching your weekly exercise goal does not have to be complicated or time consuming. Combine exercise with family time by going for a walk after a big meal.

A workout does not have to be super intense to be effective. Simply make it your goal to move your body and reduce the amount of time that you sit on the couch! Read this article here about walking and some ways to get creative and increase the intensity.

The more rounds you complete, the more intense your workout will be. Also, you can add dumbbells to make the exercises more challenging.
