Choosing better than the 'R' word

This year, "Spread the Word to End the Word" day was March 2. Nearly 250 students teamed up with Grand Canyon University Best Buddies to spread the word to end the 'R' word. The word–"retarded" is “a derogatory that negatively impacts the acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities," said Rebekah Dyer, GCU Best Buddies club advisor.
