BRITTNEY SPACKMAN
Job title: Online enrollment counselor, military division
Job location: Peoria
What attracted you to GCU? I came here for my undergrad and attended the ground campus. I originally came here to play on the volleyball team and decided to come here regardless because I loved the atmosphere of the campus. I ended up playing on the first GCU sand volleyball team my junior year.
What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I love spending time with people. Anything where I get to spend time with people close to me makes me happy. I also love having movie marathons and game nights.
What are you passionate about? I am most passionate about the people in my life and volleyball. Most of my days when I was an undergrad were filled with volleyball one way or another. From playing to managing the GCU men’s team to coaching both high school and youth club teams, volleyball fills my life.
What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? I like going to the movies, acting like a kid at Castles N' Coasters and enjoying all the different food Phoenix has to offer.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: My favorite animal is a frog. I not only have many frog stuffed animals, I also own three African dwarf frogs.
What are you most proud of? Graduating with my bachelor’s degree and being able to work full time for GCU.

MEGHAN FOLEY
Job title: Regional admissions representative
Job location: Chicago
What attracted you to GCU? I first learned about GCU at a Kari Jobe concert in the suburbs of Chicago. Six months later, I was seeking two things: more purpose in my career (I was in advertising, and I felt as if I was creating ads that people wanted to skip over on YouTube) and the ability to talk about my faith at my workplace. GCU was the perfect combination of a purposeful career and a faith-filled environment.
What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I lead worship at church, singing lead and back up vocals. I release stress by shopping for shoes. And eating.
What are you passionate about? God, music and education (and food). These things challenge me and push me to work harder and try my best, and I’m always trying to push forward.
What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? I’ve only had the pleasure of spending about three weeks in the Valley, but I am a huge fan of The Yard.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: I wrestled on the boys’ team in high school. Really, 5-foot-1 me, on the boys’ team. Yeah, Mom wasn’t all that happy about it.
What are you most proud of? That I had the ability to say goodbye to a great job at a well-respected advertising agency to do something that matters more. I’m proud to be able to make a difference in teens’ futures. I’m really excited and feeling crazy blessed to be a part of this University.

ASHLEY NORTON
Job title: Qualifying specialist
Job location: Tempe
What attracted you to GCU? Opportunity and growth are the main things that attracted me to GCU. I have always wanted to be a part of the GCU team because of the morals behind the University. GCU is family oriented and cares about each person who is involved, whether you are a student, staff, faculty, parent, friend or neighbor. I want to be able to grow and work my way up in the company so that I can continue to reach out and help others in the most upstanding way.
What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? My family and I love to travel and do things outdoors. We love to go camping and go up to Sedona, where we have a timeshare. I love to watch movies or just sit at home and BBQ with the family. I am also not opposed to getting my nails and hair done.
What are you passionate about? My family is what I am most passionate about because they are the reason that I strive to succeed as much as I do. I will have been married to my junior high school sweetheart for seven years on Dec. 21. He is my best friend and love of my life even though he is the biggest sports fanatic. He is a hardworking man and does anything and everything for our kids and me. We are a close-knit family, and everything I do is for my family.
What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? My favorite place in the Valley is Schnepf Farms in the fall. I love to take my kids there and do all the activities and pick out pumpkins.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: I am a black belt in karate. I was raised by my two wonderful parents, who are still married after almost 37 years, but my dad made sure I knew how to defend myself. I practiced karate for many years and loved to play sports.
What are you most proud of? Being a mother of my two amazing children. My son, Kaden, 6, and my daughter, Bailee, 3, are the best things to ever happen to me and melt my heart every single day. Kaden plays soccer and is amazing at it, and Bailee will be starting next spring. Kaden is in kindergarten and is excelling at everything he does in school. Bailee is already doing so many things when it comes to learning because of her brother, even though she is sassy and my little diva.
