Accreditation for the Colangelo College of Business programs at Grand Canyon University has been reaffirmed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Accreditation by the ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners certifies that the teaching and learning processes offered through CCOB meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP. Established in 1988, ACBSP is the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels, from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs.
The business programs at GCU were first accredited by ACBSP in 1995. The University is required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain accreditation.
"Grand Canyon University has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process," said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at ACBSP Conference 2017 in Anaheim, Calif. on June 26. "This reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that Grand Canyon University Colangelo College of Business is committed to maintaining the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1995."
In addition to continued accreditation, GCU also received accreditation from ACBSP for its Doctor of Business Administration program.
The ACBSP reaffirmation of accreditation comes on the heels of a series of positive regulatory outcomes the University has received in the past year, including from the Higher Learning Commission, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Association of Theological Schools, NCAA Athletics and the Veterans Administration.
