Dr. Michael West will look at Edgar Allan Poe from the perspective of true crime and the growing influence of true crime in contemporary media. The talk is called "Fury of a Demon: 'The Black Cat' and True Crime in America." Novel Ideas is a series of workshops is on selected works of important authors.
