Grand Canyon University has reached into the past to add two speakers to its spring semester Chapel schedule.
Dr. Palmer Chinchen, lead pastor at The Grove and author of "Barefoot Tribe: Take Off Your Shoes and Dare to Live the Extraordinary Life," returns to GCU Arena on March 25. Chinchen last spoke at Chapel in 2015.
Terry Crist, City of Grace Church lead pastor, is scheduled to speak Feb. 12. Crist, who has preached in more than 60 countries, last appeared at Chapel in 2017.
GCU President Brian Mueller will continue his tradition of leading the first of 11 spring semester Chapel services on Jan. 8, which also is the day the University will unveil its latest campus sculpture by Surprise, Ariz.-based botanical artist Joe Tyler. The dedication ceremony will begin immediately after Chapel around Prescott Field, and Mueller will speak at the dedication, as well.
Another campus leader, Dr. Tim Griffin, University pastor, vice president of Student Affairs and dean of students, will lead Chapel on Jan. 29.
Every Chapel service starts at 11 a.m. Monday at Global Credit Union Arena. No Chapel services will be held Jan. 15 (Martin Luther King Day), Feb. 18 (President's Day) and March 11 (spring break).
