Run to Fight Children’s Cancer Draws Record Number of Participants
The third Grand Canyon University Run to Fight Children’s Cancer drew nearly 4,000 people Saturday, including a record number of 5K and 10K runners. The event was expected to raise nearly $100,000 to help families struggling with childhood cancer diagnoses.

Seven inductees were honored Saturday in ceremonies at Ethington Theatre as part of the day’s homecoming festivities on campus. They also included two educators, a pastor, a nurse and a literary agent.

The two-hour show had plenty of dancing, with 10 contestants entertaining a large student crowd at the Arena. Rounding out the top five were Daniel Nelson, Chris Koehne, Keith Smith and Frankie Mota.
