The second annual Health & Safety Day for Grand Canyon University and Grand Canyon Education employees included, most notably, a chance to destress by whacking a junk car with a sledgehammer. The event included talks by guest speaker Angela Harrolle, President and CEO of the nonprofit 100 Club of Arizona, which provides statewide assistance for public safety agencies, officers, firefighters, EMT/paramedics and their families, and keynote speaker Rob Hoadley, who survived multiple episodes of cardiac arrest. The Phoenix Police Department’s armored SWAT vehicle also was on display.

Thank you to everyone that was able to come out and learn more about safety in the workplace. We are especially thankful to all of our partners who joined us to make the 2nd Annual Safety Day such a hit!

Congratulations Michael & Brian! Your leadership and commitment has helped grow the GCU HEALTH & Safety Program to the success it is today. It was great to see the professional relationships and support from organizations like The 100 Club, AED Everywhere, One Solution, Grainger, etc..

    Again well done gentlemen!
