The derby kart races in front of GCU Arena are one of the highlights of Homecoming.

Homecoming 2020 will feature some creative new events when alumni return to campus March 6-7.

The Golden Lopes is for alumni who have reached the 50th anniversary of their graduation from Grand Canyon. The first Golden Lopes, from the Class of 1970 and earlier, will receive mementos and invitations to two legacy socials and will be brought out to the court to be recognized at the basketball game Saturday evening.

The Alumni Reunion Mixer will be an annual social of alumni from specific classes. This year, alumni who graduated in a year ending with a 0 or a 5 will be invited.

Campfires and Cocktails will treat alums to a signature cocktail, appetizers and a s’more station.

The GCU Hall of Fame induction ceremony, the centerpiece of Homecoming weekend, has been moved from Saturday to Friday afternoon.

Bible Verse

"Consider carefully what you hear," Jesus continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you — and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." Mark 4:24-25

Jesus continued His message, saying, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24)
