Computer programming major Mark Mott created a web-based Internet of Things weather application recently that he deployed to multiple cloud platforms. He is the first student at GCU to deploy an Internet of Things Raspberry Pi Sense HAT and Java Spring Framework database-driven weather app to both the Microsoft Azure Cloud and Redhat OpenShift Cloud platforms. He also deployed his CST-361 CLC Enterprise Java web app to the Redhat OpenShift Cloud. Mott attended an out-of-class cloud workshop the past two semesters at GCU and, as part of the workshop, designed and developed the app.. Mott is working to become a full web stack developer.
