GCU’s competition robot gets a reboot

After GCU’s Robotics Club came back from its first-ever competition, team members decided to give their friendly little ‘bot a major upgrade. The 23×23-23-inch Thunderbot 2.0, complete with a vacuum-type arm, is ready to make itself known at its next competition, this weekend’s southwest Vex U Regional Qualifier.

Amazing Race Retreat

The Honors college hosted an Amazing Race Leadership Retreat where they competed in small groups in physical, critical thinking and team building challenges. The race followed the structure of the “Amazing Race” reality competition show in which typically eleven teams of two race around the world. Students used clues to navigate through challenges and then worked together manage their time and earn points.
