NSCS takes integrity pledge

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars at GCU participated in Integrity Week this month. NSCS’ integrity initiative was inspired by a national ethics project created by the Association of College Honor Societies. Members are challenged to demonstrate their true commitment to integrity on college campuses through taking a pledge. At GCU, even President Brian Mueller took the pledge.

GCU volunteers at Arizonans for Children Foster Festival

GCU News Bureau How many volunteers does it take to sow seeds of purpose? We quickly lost count last weekend but rest assured, no stone was left unturned nor garden untended after GCU made appearances at four outreach events. It started at the Cartwright Community Garden and wrapped up with GCU Men’s Soccer, Cheer and the big guy himself, Thunder, making their annual appearance at the Arizonans for Children Foster Festival at Enchanted Island Amusement Park, where kicking goals is more than just fun, it’s a peek at opportunities for higher education. When being interviewed for a mentor through AFC, and asked where they are going to college, more than 90 percent of foster children answered GCU. Future Lopes, indeed.

GCU Best Buddies at ACCEL

After kicking off the New Year with their buddies at ACCEL (Arizona Centers for Comprehensive Education and Life Skills) in Phoenix, Best Buddies and ACCEL also celebrated Valentine’s Day with a party. This is GCU’s second year partnering with ACCEL and the friendship continues to grow stronger.
