Fall Chapel speakers will address important topics

The fall semester schedule for Chapel is a mix of new speakers and returnees, as usual. But what’s notable about it is that speakers could choose from a list of topics that are important to Christians, and there also will be the first annual Chapel session on bioethics.

Engineering a path to computer science jobs

An Amazon software engineer described her colorful career path Thursday to a Code.org cohort of 25 Arizona educators. The K-12 teachers are at GCU this week to learn AP Science Principles, part of the GCU Strategic Educational Alliances mission to spread love of STEM through the teachers.

Photos by Travis Neely GCU News Bureau If it felt strange for Grand Canyon University employees to be practicing for a round of golf as the sun was setting Friday evening, it was even stranger when they started trying to navigate GCU Golf Course once the sun went down. It was the first Glow Golf tournament at the course, and for more than two hours lit-up balls streaked across the night sky. Several of the images use time-lapse photography to show what it looked like as the ball moved.
