Animator discusses new Disney film, ‘Moana’

Darrin Butters, a Walt Disney Animation Studios animator, was at Ethington Theatre to discuss the story behind “Moana,” the new 3D animated film about the fierce daughter of an island chief who embarks on a fantastic voyage. The movie is scheduled for release Nov. 23.

Campus welcomes new Student Life Building

The newly added student offices on the first floor of the Student Life Building have created a warm and welcoming hang-out place while expanding the student experience. “We are here to be a resource to students, and we all have a common goal — to answer questions, help students with difficult problems or just simply to be here for the chance to meet them,” said Alysha Clark, Associated Students chief of staff. “We definitely use our space for working and getting tasks done, but I think the purpose of having this space is so much greater than that.” GCU Today has the story.

GCU Best Buddies Prom

Lopes’ athleticism will keep GCU Arena jumping

COE Career Expo and Networking Event

The COE Career Expo & Networking Event held on Oct. 24th included over 55 Arizona districts and approximately 175 GCU teacher candidates. The districts and schools interviewed students for teaching positions, provided information regarding practicum and student teaching opportunities and some candidates even signed letters of intent.

AzHOSA chapter supports Light the Night Walk

The Greater Phoenix Light the Night Walk is Saturday, and GCU’s chapter of AzHOSA is a big supporter of the event, which raises money for research into blood cancer cures. Jennifer Gonzalez Pena, the public services coordinator for the chapter, hope to double the number of volunteers from GCU.

Don’t play head games with God, Buskirk tells Chapel

His message was simple and direct: Stop trying to comprehend God’s love for you or think you don’t deserve it. Instead, look to receive it or spread it yourself through relationships.
