DINA HIGGINS

What attracted you to GCU? The University's high standards for education and passion for students, both educationally and spiritually.
What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I enjoy golf (I live at a golf resort), exercise and swimming at various pools in my neighborhood.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about educating the next generation of leaders by instilling in them critical-thinking skills and a solid Christian worldview.
What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? I like to visit church and any golf course. I have played golf three to five times per week for the last three years.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: I am a welder, and I create metal sculptures.
What are you most proud of? My son the engineer and my son the physical therapist.

VICTORIA GARRETT

Job location: Tempe
What attracted you to GCU? I wanted to work for a Christian company that valued giving back to the community and the personal lives of its employees.
What do you do for fun and where do you find that outlet? I love being outside! I play in recreational soccer, softball and volleyball leagues. I also enjoy hiking with boyfriend, Taylor, and my dog, Clifford.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about volunteering and traveling. I currently volunteer as a youth group leader at my church and at Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA (AAWL). If you’re looking to adopt a dog or cat, visit the shelter. They are amazing! I love to travel, especially internationally. Some of my favorite places I’ve been to are Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Colorado, Hawaii and Alaska.
What are your favorite places or events in the Valley that you like to visit? Some places I frequently visit with my friends are TopGolf, Four Peaks and Boulders on Broadway for trivia nights.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know: I lived in eight different homes growing up, all within the same school district.
What are you most proud of? Planning and completing my 26-day backpacking trip throughout Europe last summer!
