Online faculty conducts presentation at education technology conference

Combs’ presentation, “Taking the ‘Dis’ out of Distance Learning,” focused on providing teachers tools for teaching within the online classroom.

Symposium shows Honors College achievements

Nearly 70 students from the Honors College presented research projects related to themes of service, ethics, research and leadership Saturday at the third annual Grand Canyon University Symposium Showcase. The students are part of the top 11 brightest and most creative teams competing for scholarships scheduled to be awarded April 16.

Student ministry makes the homeless feel special

It’s one thing to talk about what GCU students do in their Homeless Ministry. It’s quite another to actually see it in action. The scene Saturday at the Central Arizona Shelter Services compound, where students washed the feet of the homeless and gave them food, clothing and other necessities, was heartwarming.

Robotics Competition is STEM-centric fun

The FIRST Robotics Competition, which goes through Saturday at GCU Arena, is as much fun for the fans as it is for the participants. Robots have to cross medieval-style defensive barriers that are selected by audience members.

New officers sworn in at 1st ASGCU inauguration

‘Amazing’ Canyon Worship album released

The 2016 Canyon Worship LP is set to be released Tuesday, and Christian music lovers are in for a treat in the first LP by the Center for Worship Arts. The album contains the three songs from last year’s EP plus seven new songs. “Some of the best songs I’ve ever heard are on this album,” said Dr. John Frederick, the CWA manager.
