Nearly 2,400 people turned out to see Wednesday night’s Arena headliner, Rend Collective, which hails from the town of Bangor in Northern Ireland. The show was part of the band’s “Art of Celebration” tour. Opening acts included Urban Rescue and Moriah Peters, a GCU online student who returned to the campus where she helped christen Thunderground in 2012. Meanwhile, the University’s faith-based marketing team said there was a strong showing of high school students and church leaders for a VIP event with Rend Collective and Bart Millard, the MercyMe lead man now serving as director of GCU’s Worship Arts program, prior to the shows. Event planners said the Arena show was the largest audience on Rend Collective’s international tour so far.

Bible Verse

"Consider carefully what you hear," Jesus continued. "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you — and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him." Mark 4:24-25

Jesus continued His message, saying, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24)
