Slideshow: Men's Soccer in Sweet 16

A cool autumn night, a big crowd, a hard-fought match … that was the scene Thursday night at GCU Soccer Field. Top-seeded and No. 2-ranked Simon Fraser University eliminated the GCU men’s team from the NCAA Division II playoffs by scoring a late goal for a 2-1 victory. The overachieving Antelopes, who finished 15-3-2 and went 11-1 at home, were a team that was easy to appreciate. “We thank everybody for the support all year and the love they’ve given us,” said Head Coach Petar Draksin, making the rounds of campus this morning. “The players played their hearts out for the front of the jersey, for GCU.”

Bible Verse

Jesus continued His message, saying, "Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24)
