Last week’s announcement that Grand Canyon University is in line to operate an historic, 217-acre campus in Northfield, Mass., drew coverage from secular and religious media outlets. The University would lease the property from the recipient of the gift, a supporting organization of the GCU Scholarship Foundation. The gift was made by the Green family, owners of the Hobby Lobby chain of retail stores. Steve Green, Hobby Lobby’s president, is pictured in the slideshow, along with GCU’s president and CEO, Brian Mueller.

This is great news when will we here more about what the property will be used for. Will it fall under the name of Grand Canyon? A great area for a school of Divinity.

This is very exciting news for GCU. I am from Massachusetts originally and the slide show pictures make me rather home sick. Who knows, maybe there will be new employment opportunities for students?
