Under an azure sky that mirrored the heavens above New York City on an unforgettable autumn morning 14 years ago, GCU paid tribute Friday morning to the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in terrorist attacks on U.S. soil on Sept. 11, 2001. The presentation of the colors, the performance of the national anthem by GCU’s Critical Mass, a prayer by Dean of Students Pastor Tim Griffin and remarks about the U.S. flag’s importance by Dr. Randy Gibb, dean of the Colangelo College of Business, made the commemoration special.
