Most people don’t know
that Arizona is the first
place Santa visits on his
map because we have
the best children.
MattWay,
enrollment counselor
My church youth group
picks an evening to walk
through the Winterhaven
Festival of Lights in Tucson.
You can also bike or take a
hayride or a trolley, and in
addition to seeing the homes
beautifully decorated, you
bring a can of food for the
Community Food Bank. It’s a
great, old holiday tradition.
Shauna Becker,
GCU senior
A great way to spend
Christmas in the Grand
Canyon State is to ride on the
one-and-only Polar Express
on the Grand Canyon Railway
in northern Arizona. What
better way to show kids the
magic of Christmas and all
the joy it brings and celebrate
our Lord and Savior’s birth?
Marty Smith,
customer service
representative
My wife and daughter
and I moved here from
Pennsylvania in August
2004. When driving
around at Christmastime,
we saw a number of
saguaros decorated like
Christmas trees. Never
saw THAT back home!
