The students met chaplain Patrick Hansen as part of a Spirituality and Health Care course that emphasizes the impact of faith on health and wellness.

GCU Professor, Club Launch Major Business-Plan Competition

GCU’s Canyon Challenge will involve three phases. A two-page executive summary of a business plan will be due on March 23. Two weeks later, select candidates will be asked to submit a full business plan and a PowerPoint presentation. Then five finalists will present their plans before a panel of judges and an audience.

Guest Artist to Teach Dunham Dance Technique on Campus

Unique ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ a Stroke of Genius

The Shakepearean play revolves around the confusing and often zany romantic antics of four characters: Lysander (Jake Swanson), Demetrius (Drew Swaine), Hermia (Elizabeth Pabst) and Helena (Krystle Brumm). All four actors are flat-out terrific in their roles, and keeping it all straight is secondary to enjoying what’s going on.

Chinese Nursing Contingent Enjoying GCU, Arizona

After a 16-member contingent from GCU spent an 18-day nursing exchange in China last July, the College of Nursing returned the favor by welcoming a 22-member student and faculty contingent from Changchun, China, for a two-week stay. “We have been blessed this week with our colleagues from China,” said Dean Anne McNamara in an introduction at Monday afternoon’s faculty lecture. The contingent spent last week in Phoenix getting acclimated to the time change and life at GCU: living in the residence halls, taking a campus tour, attending Chapel and the Gathering, and even dressing in togas to attend last Thursday night’s “Mr. GCU” student event in the North Gym.

Follow the hilarious angst of teen love out of Athens and into the forest as four more of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers try to find a safe place to love who and how they please.
