Honor, Respect Guide GCU’s Memorial Day Activities in Veterans Community

On Friday, military enrollment staff at GCU’s Peoria Avenue office host members of Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard for a flag ceremony to commemorate the holiday. And on Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day, GCU staff head to Arizona State Veteran Home in Phoenix to pay tribute to veterans.

Through the Tears, a Major Triumph for Online Student From Illinois

Carrie Thouvenot was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cirrhosis – a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune cells attack the bile ducts of the liver – at about the same time that she decided to take online classes at GCU. She drew inspiration to complete her studies from her 6-year-old daughter, who was adopted from China.

For GCU’s CEO and Class of 2012, Arena Makes All the Difference

Past graduations for GCU had been held at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix and at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, with one large 5- to 6-hour ceremony for everyone at the University. Smaller college convocations were held at large churches near campus.

Student Parking Plan in Works for Increased Campus Traffic in Fall
